Luckiest Guy in America Robbed on the Little J

At 9:15pm on May 24, Luca's pickup was broken into while parked at an angler access on the Little Juniata River. Among other things, Luca's laptop was stolen, so blog entries will be sporadic for the next couple days.

While details about the robbery have not yet been released, Luca reports that the sulfur hatch was "on" that night and despite the unfortunate turn of events, "the fishing was worth it."

The Pennsylvania State Police were unavailable for comment.

Stay tuned for the full story of the robbery and a fishing report for central PA.

In the meantime, if you live in Altoona, Tyrone, or State College, please frequent pawn shops in search of two black Pelican (high-impact and waterproof) cases, a laptop covered in TU stickers, and a lefthanded PSE hunting bow. The recovery of these items will be rewarded with a lifetime supply of x-caddis and "Got Milt" t-shirts.

Thanks for the sympathy.

I installed a latch and padlock on my topper, so at least now it will take a crowbar and a little more commitment to break in.
I'll keep the fake note idea in mind as an additional safety measure. How about a note that reads:
Don't let the lock fool you...
Thieves have already taken my valuables. Please don't break in for an empty cooler and my dirty underwear
??

Luca - that stinks about your stuff. It stinks worse that there are people that don't know how to be human.
When I go hiking or fishing and leave my truck I leave a note on the window that reads something like, "Brian - I'll be back in a few minutes. Wait here." Anyone that wants to bust in my truck will think someone will return at any minute. This method isn't perfect, but it might stop some robberies.
Have fun and keep up the good work.

My bro lives in Carlisle if you need to log on or any help out there (like the name of an good auto glass place!).

That stinks about your gear. But hey, it could be worse. They could have taken your rod(s?) or waders.
