President Clinton's Interview
Kudos to President Clinton for standing up to the right wing and directly confronting the lies that they are trying to perpetuate through Fox News that he was responsible for not catching Osama Bin Laden. You can watch the interview here.

On the Fifth Anniversay of September 11
Five years ago today, America was attacked in an unprecedented manner. As we take time to remember the tremendous loss of life suffered on that day, let us resolve to do more to safeguard our state and our nation against further attacks. We need to fully and finally implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.
We are also reminded of the new victims that are coming to light from the attacks. The first responders and the clean-up crews at the World Trade Center are suffering terrible health effects from their heroic efforts at ground zero and face an uncertain future with their health and economic situations. Our government must recommit itself to assisting these often forgotten victims’ needs.
Let us keep alive the resolve which moved our country forward after the attacks and never forget the sacrifices our citizens have made in defending our country and its values.

Labor Day Statement
As a former member of the United Farm Workers Union, the Communication Workers of America (honorary), and now AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), and the son of a union butcher, Labor Day is an important holiday for my family and the entire Democratic family.
We owe so much to the workers who have laid down their lives on behalf of working men and women so that they might have the right to collectively bargain and earn wages commensurate with their hard work.
However, in today's world of temp jobs, right to work laws and corporate greed, the struggle continues to fight for decent jobs, wages and benefits. We honor the women and men of Labor on this Labor Day and all those that preceded us for their sacrifice and commitment to have a union to fight for working people everywhere.
