SCHWARZENEGGER’S TOP TWO PRIORITIES, BUSH JR. AND BILL JONES, WILL BOTH LOSE
Schwarzenegger hand picked Bill Jones in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. Today, Schwarzenegger can’t remember who Jones is, nor has he done one event for Bush Jr. in California – so much for his top two priorities.

REPUBLICAN POLITICAL OPERATIVES HAVE EGG IN THEIR FACE
Remember one year ago when Arnold got elected with less than 49% of the vote? Here’s what the Republican operatives said:
“It means California is in play for the presidential,” Frank Luntz, national Republican pollster (New York Times, 10/08/03).
“Schwarzenegger’s victory provides a road map for the Bush re-election campaign in California next year,” Dan Schnur, Republican consultant (San Jose Mercury News 10/09/03).
“The message for Republicans and Democrats as the confetti settles from the recall – Bienvenido Bush, and Adios Boxer,” Kenneth Khachigian (San Diego Union-Tribune, 10/12/03). Khachigian is a statewide Republican campaign manager who has lost every statewide election for the last 12 years.
And Luntz, Schnur and Khachigian tell people they are part of the “best and brightest” Republican political operatives working in California.

WHAT’S THE ARABIC WORD FOR VIETNAM? IRAQ!
More cities in Iraq are coming under the control of insurgents. The Iraqis that have been “trained” for police and military jobs are either weak, not really trained, running away, or working secretly with the insurgents.
Or as local Iraqi Governor Awad said, “The performance of the police and national guard is very weak in all of central Iraq.” (NY Times 10/28/04)
We saw the same in Vietnam.

In a despicable act, Bush Jr. had Republican Rudy Giuliani go on national media and say “No matter how you try to blame it on the president, the actual responsibility for it really would be for the troops that were there.”
That’s Rudy, he’ll go after anyone (including family) for politics.
Westly Clark in a release called Bush Jr.’s back door attacks on troops both “insulting and cowardly.”

DEMOCRATS WIN WORLD SERIES
In Friday’s California Field Poll, both John Kerry and Barbara Boxer are projected to win California – big.
Democrats also broke new records in voter registration. Earlier this year, Democratic Party Chairman, Art Torres, made a commitment to beat the Republicans in voter registration.
The Secretary of State released the numbers on Thursday for California. California Democrats added 601,794 new Democrats since the Primary and the Republicans had a dismal 380,686. Even the "Declines to State a Party" beat Republicans with 445,862.

101st AIRBORNE COLONEL “CALLS” BUSH JR. A LIAR
For over a year, Bush Jr. tried to cover up the fact that almost 40 tractor trailer loads of deadly explosives got in the hands of insurgents in Iraq.
When the cover-up was exposed earlier this week, Bush Jr. operatives tried to spin that the 101st Airborne had searched the place on the way to Baghdad and had concluded the weapons were gone and, thus, it was not Bush Jr.’s fault for not guarding the facility and losing the weapons.
On Tuesday, the press reached Colonel Joseph Anderson by phone. Colonel Anderson was the 101st Commander at the site.
The Colonel said the 101st happened to stumble on the site and used it to rest for a day on the way to Baghdad. He said no one told him about the deadly explosives being there (although the UN team had reported it as such and had given the data to the White House earlier) and he did not have the place searched – thus calling Bush Jr. a liar for saying the 101st Airborne had searched it after the invasion.

NEWSPAPERS, LIKE VOTERS, ARE ABANDONING BUSH JR.
Yes it is true; the Philadelphia Inquirer is running 21 days of editorials in support of John Kerry. They also include a daily opinion piece from one of lying Bush Jr.’s supporters.
But even more interesting is the increasing number of major newspapers that endorsed Bush Jr. in 2000 but are now backing John Kerry.
So far about 36 papers have switched, including the Orlando Sentinel that has endorsed every Republican presidential candidate since 1968. Another nine papers that had endorsed Bush Jr. in 2000 have done editorials saying they are not backing Bush Jr. this time.

In a stinging rebuke to Bush Jr., the very guy Bush Jr. put in as Iraq’s Prime Minister, Ayad Allawi on Tuesday called the ambush and killing of 50 Iraqi recruits “great negligence” [by Bush Jr.].

BUSH JR. LOSES 380 TONS OF EXPLOSIVES
How incompetent can Bush Jr. be? Evidently there is no limit.
The NY Times and 60 Minutes uncovered a cover-up by Bush Jr. – 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives disappeared 18 months ago. That’s about 20 big tractor trailer loads that somehow left one military installation without anyone noticing.
These weapons most likely are being used to kill Americans and Iraqis. But, again, Karl Rove won’t tell Bush Jr. that his bumbling is being covered by the media.

SHOULD MAJORITY OF BUSH SUPPORTERS BE DENIED THE RIGHT TO VOTE?
Last week’s poll showing that over 70 percent of Bush supporters believe that Saddam Hussein had connections to the 9/11 attacks raises questions in many people’s minds.
Some Republican politicians have said over the years, if Americans are not informed of the facts, maybe they shouldn’t be allowed to vote. So if you use this Republican “logic,” then most of these Bush Jr. supporters who still think -- despite numerous reports to the contrary -- that there is a connection between Iraq and 9/11, are either not that intelligent or not that well informed.
However, I believe they should still be allowed to vote since they are American citizens, some pay taxes and a few of them have family members in the military.
The irony here is that under Bush Jr.’s “No Child Left Behind” rules these people would get an 'F' on the high school exit exam if they answered that there is a connection between Saddam and 9/11.
So these Bush Jr. supporters couldn’t graduate from high school with their “facts,” but they can vote with them.

UNEMPLOYMENT UP IN 46 OF 50 STATES SINCE BUSH JR. TOOK OFFICE
On Friday, the Bush Jr. administration released the job numbers for all 50 states.
It is worse than anticipated.
Not only is George “Herbert Hoover” Bush Jr. the first president since Hoover to have lost jobs as president, but he has set other, equally disastrous records.
For instance, all 50 states have lost manufacturing jobs and 46 states have higher unemployment rates than when Bush Jr. took office.
And in Ohio, like in California, over the last few months more jobs have been lost than new jobs have been created – even including the lower paying jobs.

NEW POLL IN IRAQ – WRONG DIRECTION LEADING
Several weeks ago, Bush Jr. in one of his stumbles, said the "right direction/wrong direction" question was doing better in Iraq than in America. He was right then.
A new poll in Iraq shows 45 percent of Iraqis now believe Iraq is heading in the wrong direction and only 41 percent think in the right direction.
So now two countries Bush Jr. is trying to run (USA and Iraq) have a majority of its citizens mad at him.
Rebel Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr came in third (46 percent) in the same poll for an Assembly seat. A couple of months ago Bush Jr. put him on a “Wanted Poster” for murder – now he has U.S. troop protection to go anywhere he wants. Talk about a flip-flop!
Meanwhile Bush Jr.’s installed guy, Allawi, got only 47 percent for a seat – one more than the guy recently wanted for murder.

BUSH JR. TO BANKS – FORGET LOW AND MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS
Since 1977, U.S. law has required banks with more than $250 million in assets to devote some of their services to low and moderate income residents in their neighborhoods.
Now Bush Jr.’s appointees are raising that level to $1 billion, which would take 1,100 smaller banks out of the requirement.
Thus, low and moderate income people will still put their money into their neighborhood bank, but under Bush Jr. that bank will no longer be required to put money into their community.
Is there no end to Bush Jr. helping those with the highest income? Evidently not!

CHENEY & A NUCLEAR BOMB
Halliburton’s Dick Cheney, with his five draft deferments, once again criticized John Kerry, who was wounded three times in Vietnam.
This time Cheney talked about a nuclear bomb in one of our cities.
That’s exactly what John Kerry has been talking about - Bush Jr.’s failure to have over 95 percent of the containers coming into the U.S. inspected.
What exactly does Cheney think -- that the nuclear device would come in on carry-on baggage?

ARMY RESERVISTS MAY FACE COURT MARTIALS
Another tragedy caused by Bush Jr. is what may now happen to a number of grunts in the 343rd Quartermaster Company.
Due to the incompetence of Bush Jr. and his lack of planning for Iraq, we all know tens of thousands of troops have found themselves without proper equipment in a combat zone, leading to many being killed or wounded.
So these Reserve grunts that refused orders to go into a possible suicide mission in a convoy without adequate protection, may now face court martials and stockade time.
When Pearl Harbor happened, President Roosevelt relieved the Pacific Commander.

THE DRAFT! WILL IT BE BACK?
Not if John Kerry is elected President.
Bush Jr. has misled the American people on his mistakes with the economy and especially with regards to Iraq.
When I hear Bush Jr. say he will not bring back the draft, it reminds me of President Johnson in the 1964 presidential race right before the election, saying he would not send American boys to Vietnam to do what Vietnamese boys could do.
The American boys went under Johnson and later under Nixon and ultimately over 58,500 died and over 300,000 were wounded. And an estimated 2 million Southeast Asians also died.

AMERICAN TROOPS WAITED THIRTEEN YEARS
When American troops and other allies developed serious health problems after the 1991 Gulf War, the Pentagon dismissed them as complainers. The Pentagon had also dismissed Vietnam veterans about their complaints – later acknowledged to be Agent Orange.
The military had dropped millions of dioxin throughout Vietnam to destroy foliage. There was less foliage, but thousands of troops and Vietnamese came down with cancer and other serious ailments.
So now 13 years after the Gulf War, a new panel finally concludes it was chemicals that have sickened American troops.
The Pentagon could have moved mountains to help our troops but instead put roadblocks in the way of our troops’ needs.
This will change with President John Kerry.

VOTE BY MAIL
In California, over 30 percent of voters will vote by mail this election. It is simple and convenient. By now, every voter should have received their sample ballot from their county. On the back page there is an absentee form – fill it out and send in and soon you will have an absentee ballot.
It must be returned to your county elections office by Nov. 2nd – make sure the return postage is correct.

BUSH JR.’S PRESCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM A FAILURE FOR SENIORS
A year ago Bush Jr. predicted with his prescription drug bill (no cheaper Canadian drugs, 73 options and lots of money to the drug companies) that 7.3 million seniors would sign up this year alone.
So far it is only two million that have signed up, plus the 2.5 million that were automatically signed into the program. In other words, Bush Jr. was off 40% in his thinking, just like with Iraq.
And he also predicted that 4.7 million low-income people would get a credit of $600 to go with their drug discount cards in 2004 and 2005. Only 1.3 million have qualified so far. (NY Times 10/11/04)
Once again, no “Midas touch” for Bush Jr.

FINAL DEBATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
At the final debate on tomorrow night in Tempe, Arizona, Bush Jr. has a lot of explaining to do. The debate topic is domestic issues and if Bush Jr. does as bad a job explaining his economic mess as he did on Iraq, the Presidency goes to John Kerry.
And don’t expect to see Bush Jr. wear his wireless receiver again.

OCT. 18: FINAL DAY TO REGISTER AS A DEMOCRAT COMING
In California the last day to register to vote in the November 2nd election is Monday, October 18. If you are not registered at your current address, you can find a voter registration form at government buildings, including post offices, fire stations or look for someone doing registration on a street corner or on a campus.

AMERICANS OVER 65 ARE WORKING “HARDER”
It is official now – fewer Americans are working today than when Bush Jr. moved into the White House. What should we expect – the guy came in second in votes, so we get a second rate economy.
But for those 65 or older, more are working now than in 2001. The Bush Jr. economy has forced them to postpone retirement or go back and get a minimum wage job to survive.

BUSH JR. CAN’T EVEN GET THE INK RIGHT
After months of bragging the Afghanistan was about to hold their first election, Bush Jr. screwed that up too.
The ink was supposed to be indelible so a person couldn’t vote twice. It washed off immediately and right away the whole election process is being questioned in newspapers all over the world, including in Iraq. Bush Jr. has no ”Midas touch.”

WAS IT A WIRELESS RECEIVER UNDER BUSH JR.’S JACKET?
It wasn’t the Hunchback of Notre Dame in debate number one – just Bush Jr. with a wireless receiver on his back.
Now we know why Bush Jr. demanded in the debate rules there be no TV shots from the rear; but a TV camera did get the photo.
There is no credible explanation for having 2x6 inch box under his jacket other than it being a receiver so he could hear from Karen Hughes and Karl Rove.

“NOT HAPPY”
What exactly did Bush Jr. mean in debate two when he said he “wasn’t happy” when no WMD’s were found in Iraq? Was that a political statement? Absolutely!
The world is safer if there are no WMD’s in the hands of threatening governments – it was good news!

GEORGE “HERBERT HOOVER” BUSH JR.
The Bush Jr. administration announced on Friday that only 96,000 new jobs were created in America in September.
In 2002, Bush Jr. touted his economic plan (big tax cuts to the wealthiest and big deficits) claiming it would create on average 300,000 jobs every month.
Thus in four years, Bush Jr. has a net loss of 1.6 million jobs in the United States. Bush Jr. is the first president since Herbert Hoover to have lost jobs under his watch.
Add the Iraq and foreign policy mess and the health care problems, and America has only one choice to make: lay off Bush Jr. on November 2nd.

THE U.N. SANCTIONS AND INSPECTIONS WORKED!
The U.S. Senate got the report – Saddam Hussein was right where everyone wanted him - on his knees.
So the Inspection Plan worked. Unfortunately for many, Bush Jr.’s "War Plan" hasn’t worked.

BOTH SADDAM HUSSEIN AND IRAN “FOOLED” BUSH JR.
All evidence now indicates that both Saddam Hussein and Iran, acting independently of each other, pulled fast ones over Bush Jr.
Bush Jr. had over $250 billion of intelligence from the last decade, but Saddam Hussein, with a two-line phone on his desk and news conferences, allegedly “convinced” Bush Jr. that he (Saddam Hussein) might have weapons of mass destruction.
Meanwhile Iran, which wanted Saddam Hussein out of power, had Iraqi “defectors” deliberately tell the U.S. government agencies that Saddam Hussein had WMDs in a long shot allegation to get Bush Jr. to invade Iraq.
So Bush Jr., either out of ignorance or his decision that he needed a war for the elections, did the bidding for Iran and removed Saddam Hussein.
Meanwhile, Iran is building nuclear weapons.
Just “brilliant,” this President of ours.

AFGHANISTAN ELECTIONS - DID OSAMA BIN LADEN REGISTER TO VOTE?
Most people know Bush Jr. has been AWOL on completing the job in Afghanistan. Elections are set for October 9th but for the most part, the country, like Iraq, is in a complete mess with little security and drugs everywhere (most likely leading some troops taking up heroin habits, like in Vietnam) with no hope for real accomplishments.
Afghanistan is in such sad disarray, it would not surprise many if Osama bin Laden registered to vote.

CHENEY – EARLY SIGNS OF ALZHEIMER’S?
Or do Bush Jr. and Cheney just try to mislead Americans on everything?
Halliburton’s Dick Cheney in the VP debate on Tuesday night told the American people it was the first time he had met John Edwards.
Immediately afterwards, the news media showed video of the two together previously and reported events where the two of them were together, for example at the swearing in of the U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole.

KERRY-EDWARDS WIN ROUND TWO
In the debate Tuesday night, Cheney looked a lot like Nixon did.
CBS immediately after the debate surveyed 169 uncommitted voters across America.
Big win for Edwards! By a margin of 41% to 29%, the uncommitted voters in America say John Edwards won the debate.

BUSH JR. STILL TRYING TO “LIE” HIS WAY OUT OF HIS IRAQ CHAOS
On Wednesday in Pennsylvania, Bush Jr. will give a “significant” (his words) speech on the war on terrorism.
Wednesday’s speech could be the 21st time Bush Jr. twists and spins his way on the Iraq chaos - he flip-flops a lot on Iraq.
The speech was supposed to be on health care, but Bush Jr. got his post-debate poll numbers.
In the debate last week, Bush Jr. was acting as if he was being asked questions about another President – kind of embarrassing! Let’s hope our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan never see the Commander-in-Chief in such a confused stage

BREMER JOINING RUMSFELD IN CALLING BUSH JR. A “LIAR”
Rumsfeld, after stating no connection between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein, was taken to the woodshed by Karl Rove, but then former Iraq Ambassador Paul Bremer also called Bush Jr. a “liar.”
Now that Bremer is no longer living and working in the protective Green Zone in Baghdad, Bremer said Bush Jr. mishandled Iraq by not providing enough troops.
In April of 2003, Ambassador Bremer told ABC that “we have enough troops.” But I assume now that Bremer needed to get the Bush Jr. lies off his chest.

RUMSFELD CALLS CHENEY A “LIAR”
Just as Cheney was in his final briefings for his debate with John Edwards, his Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld announced in New York City: “To my knowledge, I have not seen any strong, hard evidence that links the two [Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda].”
Almost 1,100 American troops killed and 7,000 wounded and now Rumsfeld confesses.

CONDOLEEZZA RICE SHOULD RESIGN!
Rice admitted on Sunday that even though she claimed in 2002 that the aluminum tubes would be used by Iraq for nuclear weapons, her office had been told months before it probably wasn’t the case. Bush Jr. wanted a war and he lied all the way.

BUSH JR.’S POLICIES LEAD TO HEROIN IMPORTS FROM AFGHANISTAN BUT NOT PRESCRIPTION DRUGS FROM CANADA
An LA Times piece confirms record amounts of opium poppies (for heroin) are coming out of Afghanistan and because of the chaos Bush Jr. has created in Iraq, there is a big drug trade developing there as well.
So, heroin is in, but not prescription drugs from Canada.

BUSH JR. FAILED THE TEST
The questions at the debate were straightforward – mostly about Iraq.
Bush Jr. looked like one of those high school students asked on what continent is the U.S.A. – dumbfounded! Not only did all the instant post-debate polls show John Kerry as the winner with the most knowledge and the steadiness Americans want in a Commander-In-Chief, but new polls show real gains for Kerry.
The latest Newsweek poll now has Kerry leading Bush Jr. 49% to 46% and the LA Times poll of those who watched the debate (over 65 million tuned in), have Kerry ahead 49% to 47%.

ANOTHER BUSH JR. MISSTAKEMENT
In the debate, Bush Jr. says many nations are contributing money to rebuild Iraq. First of all, Bush Jr. has reneged on the U.S. funding for rebuilding because of the insurgents attacks that Bush claims are due to the Iraqi military “tricking” him when the U.S. invaded Iraq. In the debate, Bush Jr. said that he had planned on killing them all, but they “hid.” Boy, is this a guy who is clueless about combat.
Last year Bush Jr. bragged that in a meeting in Madrid, Spain the allies had pledged $13 billion for reconstructions in Iraq, but only $1.3 billion has come in so far. The word pledge actually does mean “pledge” and like so much with Bush Jr. – it's just spin.

BUSH JR. SERIOUSLY HURTING MILITARY MORALE
The U.S. Army announced that 622 out of 1,765 Reserve members ordered to report for duty by September 28 didn’t show up, a 35% AWOL rate. We never even saw that rate during the Vietnam War.
The irony is that while Bush Jr. went AWOL for six months in Alabama in 1972, he got a 5-4 vote to put him in the White House, but most of the 622 now “serving” under Bush Jr. will be prosecuted in the military system and pay dearly, including family breakups.

THE REVIEWS ARE IN
All the major networks declared John Kerry the winner of last night's debate.
Positive marks all around for Kerry, and well deserved:
"I think that Kerry did a good job." (Sen. John McCain, MSNBC, 9/30/04)
"Kerry was forceful and articulate." (Bill Kristol, Fox News Channel, 9/30/04)
"We saw Bush smirking...Kerry was more poised." (Wolf Blitzer, CNN, 9/30/04)
"Kerry's done a good job of becoming Mr. Homeland Security." (Jon Meacham, Newsweek on MSNBC, 9/30/04)

BUSH JR. DIDN’T APPOLOGIZE
Earlier this week, British Prime Minister Tony Blair apologized to his nation for misleading them on Iraq and weapons of mass destruction.
Blair, being the diplomat, didn’t lay the blame on Bush Jr., but the British people appreciated the prime minister acknowledging the facts.
Bush Jr. could have done that in the debate last night, but once again ran from his responsibilities.
On November 2nd the American people can relieve Bush Jr. of duty.

MORE ON LAST NIGHT’S DEBATE
On Bush Jr.’s alleged “strong suit,” i.e. national security, John Kerry had Bush Jr. on the ropes all night long.
On several occasions, Bush Jr. reminded me of how Nixon looked in the 1960 debate with Kennedy.

SCHWARZENEGGER TO CALIFORNIANS IN NEED: “TOO BAD”
In another “pay-to-play” move, Schwarzenegger did what the big pharmaceutical companies demanded: veto the prescription drug bill of Democratic Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer.
The drug companies have been contributing massive sums of money to Schwarzenegger over the last year in return for just one thing – the veto of AB 1957 – and they got it. No surprise there.
In addition to the contributions, Schwarzenegger asked the drug companies for one favor: do a conference call with him (that took place last month) so that he could spin that he "asked" the drug companies to lower their prices. They probably laughed to themselves the whole time on this scam conference call.
Schwarzenegger has gotten all the drugs he’s needed his entire life. In the last two weeks, Californians didn’t get a minimum wage increase and now are not getting a break in prescription drugs, due to Schwarzenegger’s vetoes.
